Krakow Parking Zones
Krakow has two parking zones and one restricted to car zone. As you can see on the map below there are three colours that indicate the zones.
Zone RED - is zone where car traffic is prohibited. It is only pedestrian, bicycle, small electric and horde cab.
Zone GREEN - is less restricted - however car can be driven and parked on dedicated area for residents and people that have special permission.
Zone BLUE - is available for everyone who arrive to Krakow by car, but is paid.
If you have arrived by car, most probably you may do is to park the car somewhere close in BLUE zone and then walk to the reception or apartment. If you really need to get as close as possible to your accommodation (for example with kids and loads of stuff to unpack) you may try to get on GREEN zone - but be sure you:
- you have your confirmation voucher with accommodation address to show to the police or city guards
- you do not leave your car unattended in case the police or city guards are interested
Be aware that guards and police not often speak foreign languages, this is why it is good to have confirmation voucher. If the car is unattended then you may have one wheel blocked and get fine, as confirmation voucher is not legal document however practice shows it is tolerated.
